Message from the Elders
02.10.2021
As you are probably aware, last Friday, 2/5/21, The Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the state of California can no longer ban indoor church services. We want you to know that nothing will change at Southwest. We will continue to have our regular Sunday Worship service in person as well as live-streamed on Facebook. As always, we ask that if you feel ill please stay home and attend online. For those attending in person, we will continue to require masks to be worn and our chairs will continue to be spread out in family-sized groups. As the COVID numbers are trending in the right direction, we look forward to all of us worshiping together without worry or restrictions sooner rather than later. We ask you to join us in prayer to that end.
God Bless You,
The Elders

Regarding the County Shut-down of Indoor Church Services in lieu of Covid-19:
The Elders of Southwest Christian Church have made the decision to not abide by the Riverside County order ceasing all indoor church services. The book of Hebrews tells us the importance of the church body regularly meeting together.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” - Hebrews 10:24-25
We will continue our regular Sunday morning schedule with a 9:00am time of prayer and 10:00am Worship Service. Our Sunday night services are on hold until after the first of the year. Our Wednesday night services will continue at 6:30pm as scheduled. The women’s Bible studies that meet every other Monday night and every other Wednesday morning will also continue as scheduled. Our Young Adult’s Study is on hold until after the first of the year.
We will continue to follow the safety guidelines that the church leaders have put in place, which include distancing the chairs to allow you to sit next to those you are comfortable with, wearing masks while indoors, providing hand sanitizer throughout the building, and regular sanitizing of chairs and surfaces. We will all continue to be mindful of one another’s comfort levels. For those who are not yet comfortable or able to attend in person, we will continue to make our services available online. We all look forward to the day when we worship together in person again. As always, if you feel any symptoms of sickness, we ask that you stay home and watch our service online.
Praise be to God!
