Shepherds & staff
The Lord calls qualified men to shepherd his flock through the word; our staff support that ministry week by week.
The elders provide spiritual oversight, teaching, and shepherding in accord with Scripture (Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 5:1–4).
Senior Pastor (Elder)
Came to faith in middle school at a Hume Lake winter camp, then served in youth and college ministry. Before Southwest he pastored a church in the Southern Baptist Convention. He holds an MDiv and an MA in theological studies. He and his wife, Kelly, have four children. He enjoys the Reformers and Puritans, pickup basketball, and In-N-Out with his family.
Elder
Married to Marre for over forty years. Charter members of Southwest with five children and nine grandchildren. A Christian for about three decades, he has long taught Bible study and Sunday school, committed first to Christ and the Great Commission, then to his family.
Elder
At Southwest since its founding in 1993, Randy has served as elder, youth leader, and friend to the needy. He works as a life coach for adults with special needs. He and Audrey have two children and six grandchildren, and he loves to magnify Christ through the Scriptures.
Children’s director/office administrator
She has served as children’s minister since 2005. She holds a degree in child development, with two adult sons, and enjoys quilting, crafting, and reading when she is not serving families.
