Your first visit

Plan your visit to Southwest

Sundays at 9:00 am we recall and celebrate the gospel, which is the center of everything we do as a church. We would love to meet you.

Start here

The short version

For a first Sunday, these are the details most people need before they arrive.

Sunday worship

Morning worship begins at 9:00 am with singing, prayer, Scripture, and preaching.

Bible studies

Men and women meet on Monday evenings at 6:30 pm, every other week.

Faith Builders

Wednesdays at 6:30 pm, starting September 9th, for elementary, youth, and adults.

Children on Sunday

Children are welcome in the service, with optional classes after the singing.

Come as you are

There is no dress code, and visitors are not expected to know church customs.

Parking

Park near the front door on the south side of the building, or behind the building.

Welcome to Southwest

Our hope is that you would find your deepest joy and greatest satisfaction in God through the gospel of his Son, to the praise of his glory.

Gathering times

Sunday morning worship is at 9:00 am. Men’s and women’s Bible studies meet every other Monday at 6:30 pm, and Faith Builders starts Wednesday, September 9th at 6:30 pm.

What happens in worship

Our Sunday morning gathering includes corporate singing and prayer, the reading and preaching of Scripture, and the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. The gospel is the lens for all of it.

Children on Sunday

We believe that one of the best ways parents can disciple their children to love the Lord and the church is to worship with them. Children of any age are welcome in the service.

If you prefer, after the singing portion, children from six months through fifth grade may go to a Christ-centered, age-appropriate class. A soundproof room for nursing mothers is at the back of the sanctuary.

Faith Builders | Wednesdays 6:30 pm, starting September 9th

Faith Builders Family Discipleship is our midweek program for the whole family: elementary, youth, and adults, starting Wednesday, September 9th at 6:30 pm. Together we focus on Bible memory, a biblical worldview, and character formation as families grow in God’s Word.

The program is free for all ages. Enroll on the Faith Builders page so we can welcome your family before the first meeting.

What to wear

There is no dress code—please come as you are. Most people dress casually. The Lord looks at the heart more than our clothing.

A gift for you

If you are visiting for the first time, we have a free gift: What Is the Gospel? by Greg Gilbert and a New City Catechism for you and your family. At the back table you will also find booklets, ESV Bibles, and other free resources.

Parking

Park on the south side of the building near the front door, or behind the building.
